We Are a Specialty Infusion Pharmacy

As an independent specialty infusion pharmacy, we provide injected and infused medications that are not typically available at your neighborhood pharmacy.

These medications are costly, require unique shipping and handling, and often need nursing support at home or in an infusion suite to ensure safe administration.

Due to the high level of care needed to manage these complex medications and the conditions they treat, we support our patients at every step. From prescription intake and insurance clearance to medication delivery, training, and beyond, we are committed to our patients’ success.

Our dedication to making a difference in our patients’ lives is backed by decades of trusted experience in managing infusion therapy and data-driven treatment programs focused on optimal clinical outcomes.

Every day, in every interaction, we are dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives.

Our Infusion Therapies

  • A medical infusion delivers treatment directly into a person's bloodstream by inserting a small tube, called an intravenous (IV) line, into a vein, usually in the arm or hand.

  • Infusion therapy involves administering medication straight into the bloodstream, allowing it to work quickly in the body.

This method provides precise control over the dosage and rate of administration.

  • At BioMatrix, we provide specialty infusion pharmacy and support services for patients requiring biologic and biosimilar medications.

These medications are usually administered through an injection or infusion and are used to treat complex conditions such as autoimmune diseases, immune-mediated disorders, neurological disorders, desensitization for transplant patients, gastrointestinal disorders, skin conditions like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other rare and orphan diseases.

  • The duration of an infusion depends on the type of medication, the condition being treated, and the prescribing information.

To help pass the time, we encourage patients to bring a book or digital device like a smartphone or iPad.

  • Both IV infusions and IV injections deliver fluids or medications into a vein, but they are administered differently.

    · IV infusion: A slow drip of fluid or medication into a vein over time, usually done through a bag or bottle connected to the IV line. This process can last from minutes to hours or even days, allowing for controlled, steady delivery of treatment into the bloodstream.

    · IV injection: A quick push of a liquid medication directly into the vein through an IV line. This process is over in a matter of minutes.

It’s important to note that there are two types of injections: one into a vein (IV) and one into the skin.
